MWANAMWEMA SHEIN SECONDARY SCHOOL
Mwanamwema Shein secondary school was built by the people from 2004 to 2006. In 2006 after the school was completed, the people together decided to name the school Mnying'anyi secondary school. In the same year 2006, the former councilor of Mgori ward mzee Saidi Issenga (known as mzee Mumbee) was elected as a member of the political committee of the Singida region, when he had the opportunity to ask the regional leadership to invite the former Vice President of the Republic of Tanzania Dr. Ali Mohamed Shein to visit the Mgori forest reserve.
Since the visit of Vice President Dr. Ali Mohamed Shein started at Misughaa secondary school (at that time) now called Dr. Ali Mohamed Shein secondary school located in Ikungi district, the people of Misughaa area asked Vice President Dr. Ali Mohamed Shein to name the school after him, he agreed and laid the foundation stone and then opened it.
After leaving Ikungi district, Vice President Dr. Ali Mohamed Shein made a visit to Mgori division with the aim of visiting the Mgori forest reserve, and he also had the opportunity to visit Mnying'anyi secondary school (at that time) now called Mwanamwema Shein for the purpose of laying the foundation stone. After arriving at the school and laying the foundation stone in this school, the people of Mgori division asked the Vice President Dr. Ali Mohamed Shein that this school be named after him Dr. Ali Mohamed Shein secondary school as was the case with Misughaa secondary school in Ikungi district. The Vice President Dr. Ali Mohamed Shein accepted the request of the people of Mgori but requested that this school instead of being named after him Dr. Ali Mohamed Shein secondary school should be called Mwanamwema Shein secondary school in honor of his wife who is called Mama Mwanamwema Shein as her name had already been used in Misughaa secondary school in Ikungi district. With one heart, the people of Mgori agreed to the request of Vice President Dr. Ali Mohamed Shein to name this school after his wife's mother, Mwanamwema Shein, and from that day until now, this school became known as Mwanamwema Shein secondary school.
